Tender for Insurance for OSIM Singapore International Triathlon (2007)
Introduction

OSIM Singapore International Triathlon 2007 is to be held on 28th & 29th July 2007 at East Coast Park. 3,800 participants are expected to race in the 2-day event and 400 officials/volunteers are recruited to assist in the organization of the event. Tenders are invited for the following:
Tender No. OSIT07/001/Insurance
A.

Personal Accident Insurance for Participants & Officials

  
  Covers Accidental Death & Permanent Disablement $10,000 per person
  & Medical Expenses $500      per person
 
(Excess at $50 each claim on Medical Expenses)
  Cover is to extend to include swimming, cycling & run in race, professional athletes, Age range from 7 yrs to 70 yrs old.
     
B. Public Liability Insurance
 

Covers to include legal liability of Triathlon Association of Singapore (TAS), Singapore Sports Council (SSC), their officials, agents, contractors, participants ftrr & i and to include legal costs against claims by third parties in connection with the event.
  All named insured’s, participants and volunteers/officials should be treated as third parties.
  Limits   1) S$1m Anyone Accident & unlimited for Anyone Period &/or
                2) S$3m Anyone Accident & unlimited for Anyone Period &/or
                3) S$5m Anyone Accident & unlimited for Anyone Period

Alternatively, TAS may consider taking up an annual Public Liability Insurance to cover all its events, activities, trainings, courses, clinics, seminars, briefings etc.
TAS organizes 5 events annually. There are :

I) Singapore Duathlon in Mar 2008        
Estimated 1,800 participants and 180 officials/volunteers. Duathlon is run, cycle & run.

II) Inter-School Biathlon in Apr 2008     
Estimated 1,000 participants and 120 officials/volunteers. Biathlon is swim & run.

II) Singapore International Triathlon in July 2007   
Estimated 3,800 participants and 400 officials/volunteers, Triathlon is swim/cycle/run.

IV National Biathlon in Sep 2007
Estimated 1,800 participants and 200 officials/volunteers.

V) Singapore Corporate Triathlon in Nov 2007
Estimated 1,800 participants and 300 officials/volunteers.

Trainings sessions are conducted daily for the national team, junior team and kids’ team.

Clinics are conducted 4 to 8 sessions before each event.

Courses at indoor are conducted for Timing Team and Technical Officials 6 to 10 occasions annually.

 Briefings are conducted for officials/volunteers before each event.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Closing Date :   21st May 2007 at 1000 hrs.
  2. Tenders in sealed envelops should be marked with our Tender Number & “MUST BE OPENED BY TENDER COMMITTEE ONLY”. All tenders should be submitted by hand or by mail to Triathlon Association of Singapore at 19, Aroozoo Avenue, Singapore 539830.
  3. Only Shortlisted tenders will be notified by email and will be asked to produce copies of specimen policies wordings.
