All registration are done online at our event website. Registration
will be launched soon. - Limited spaces are available for the race. Closing date is 10
Feb 2006.
- The Organisers will not be responsible for any disputes arising
from incomplete entry details
- On-the-spot entries will not be entertained.
- The Organising Committee reserves the right to close registration
earlier should participation reach our capacity before the said Closing
Date.
- An email confirmation with the Race Information of individual participant
will be sent to their registered email address upon successful race
registration with payment. Any discrepancy from the intended registration
should be reported before 15 Feb 2006 to the Race
Organisers.
Completion of the online entry form evidences the Participants' agreement
to abide by the relevant rules and regulations of TAS. These rules
apply at the material time and to all and any ruling of the organisers,
TAS and Singapore Sport Council (SSC). |

| GETTING THERE |
By Taxi
The nearest drop-off point is the East Coast Lagoon Food Centre, which
is accessible via Laguna Flyover, Marine Parade Flyover, Fort Road
and East Coast Park Expressway heading towards Marine Parade and City
(Exit 10B). By Car
All Car Parks along East Coast Service Road from B1 (near
Tanjong Rhu Flyover) to E2 (near East Coast Seafood Centre) are opened
to the public. Participants and public are advised to park their cars
at Car Park E2, and then proceed over to the event site. Car Park
E2 and E3 are also opened to public. Do come early to avoid disappointment.

| MEDICAL ADVISORY |

Participants are advised against the consumption of alcohol or stimulants
or any kind of drugs within 24 hours of their race.
- Participants are to ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated
on race day.
- Participants are advised to dress lightly.
- Should any participant feel unwell in the course of race, he/she
should stop and seek medical attention at designated medical posts.

get you ready.
Coaches will be on hand to guide you and provide the valuable answers

| RULES
& REGULATIONS |
Please
read carefully through the Rules & Regulations below before you
register for any of the races in the New Balance Singapore Duathlon
2006. You must accept the conditions in order to register for the
event. Participants under 21 on race day must seek parental/guardian’s
consent to register for the event.

| GENERAL |
-
Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organisers
to ensure the participant’s safety, participants partake in
this event at their own risk and the Organisers shall not be liable
for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever
arising.
- Once the online registration form has been duly processed, there
will be NO fee refund if the Event is cancelled for
whatever reason. All fee refunds will only be considered on a special
case-by-case basis, at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
All requests for fee refund have to be made in formal writing
to the Race Organisers.
- The Organisers reserve the right to use any photographs, motion
picture, recordings, or any other record of this race and its participants
for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
- The Organisers reserve the right to limit and refuse entries.
- Participants are advised to report at the On-Site Registration Booth
90 minutes prior to your Flag-Off time.
- On-site reporting will start at least an hour before the commencement
of the race. All participants shall be ready 15 minutes prior to the
start of the Run.
- A grace period of 15 minutes after the commencement of the race
will be given for latecomers. Anyone who reports later than this grace
period will not be allowed to participate in the race. Latecomers
should be aware that their timings would have commenced when the race
begins.
- In case of timing equipment failure, the Organisers will not be
responsible for any inaccuracy in participants' race timing.
- A participant who protests against another competitor or notifies
of violation by a contestant must do so in writing to the Organisers
within 30 minutes of his/her finish time. A deposit of S$50 must accompany
the appropriate protest and will be refunded if the protest is successful.
- The Organisers reserve the right to remove any participant deemed
physically incapable (i.e. severe physical harm) of continuing the
race.
- The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations
without prior notification.
- Please note that there will be no storage facilities available at
the event.
- Participants racing in the Individual Age Group & Relay category
must be 16 years and above on race day to compete in the race.
- Participants racing in the Individual Junior category must be 10
years and above on the race day to compete in the race.
- Race category is non-interchangeable and non-transferable.
- Relay disciplines are non-transferable among the team members.
- Relay team must have 2 members, one for each discipline
- As the ChampionChip is a loaned item, all participants are responsible
to return the issued chip to the race organisers immediately after
the race. A S$40 penalty applies for any loss of chip.
- The ChampionChip is the sole means of race timing measurement…
NO CHIP NO TIME.
- No transition time will be provided to all participants Only the
following timings will be provided:
Run 1 <The run time of the first run leg>
Bike <The cycle time inclusive of run/bike transition>.
Run 2 <The run time of last leg inclusive of bike/run transition>. |

| RUNNING |
-
All runners in relay teams must ensure that their ChampionChips are
securely strapped to their ankles before running.
- Runners must wear and display their race numbers at the front at
all times.
- Support vehicles or pacers are not allowed.
- Runners must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure
to do so may result in disqualification.
- No running with bare torso. |

| CYCLING |
-
All cyclists in relay teams must ensure that their ChampionChips are
securely strapped to their ankles before cycling.
-Cyclists must ensure that their competition numbers are clearly visible
at the back of their adorned apparel at all times.
- No bare torso is allowed at all times.
- A participant may run or walk with his bicycle.
- Cyclists are to keep to the left side of the road and are reminded
to observe traffic rules at all times.
- All participants will have to perform their own repairs if their
bicycles should breakdown. Changing of bicycles is only permitted
at designated points(s).
- Support vehicles and crews are not permitted.
- All cyclists must wear helmets
- The helmet must stay on the cyclist’s head until he/she has
placed his/her bicycle securely at the allocated spot on the bicycle
rack.
- All participants are encouraged to have their bicycles inspected
by professional bicycle shops before their race. It is the participants’
responsibility to ensure that their bicycle brakes are in good working
condition.
- No drafting is allowed.
- All cyclists in relay teams must cycle with their ChampionChip strapped
to their ankle during the cycling leg and are to pass the ChampionChip
to their runners at designated area. |

| INCLEMENT WEATHER |
-
In the event of inclement weather, the Organisers reserve the right
to delay the commencement of the race.
- Should the inclement weather persist after delay, the Organisers
reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund of registration
fees already paid. |
